Born into a family of musicians, Andrea Liberovici studied the violin, viola and composition at the conservatories of Venice and Turin. He also followed drama classes at the school of the Teatro Stabile in Genoa and singing classes with Cathy Berberian.

A researcher at Ircam, a member of the Atelier de Recherche Instrumentale, he led a project devoted to new instrumental techniques and the beginnings of computer-assisted composition. From all this work, he integrated into his musical syntax the acoustic properties of sound materials and made the computer a veritable tool for musical composition.

At first an autodidact, Lionel Marchetti subsequently explored the musique concrète repertory with Xavier Garcia, a composer and musician with Arfi (Imaginary Folklore Research Association).
He composes in the studios of the GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales), the GMVL (Groupe Musiques Vivantes de Lyon), La Muse en Circuit, Cesaré in Rheims, as well as in his own studio. With the artiste Olivier Capparos, he prepares creative radiophonic workshops for France Culture. The two composers have collaborated in this way notably on Kitty Hawk, le sable et le vent, first performed at the Grand Théâtre in Rheims in 2008, and Le puits et la dune, first performed on France Culture in 2014.

A pianist by training, Caroline Marçot studied notably counterpoint, analysis and harmony at the Paris Conservatory, in the classes of Alain Louvier and Edith Lejet. She completed her cursus with a musicology degree from the Sorbonne.
Having a passion for the voice, she is a member of the Maîtrise de Radio France, the Jeune Chœur de Paris and the Cris de Paris. She founded the vocal trio Viva Lux before joining the ensemble Mora Vocis.

Laurent Martin had found an interest in jazz before he turned to composition. He then studied at the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory and then at the Paris Conservatory, notably with Alain Bancquart, Gérard Grisey and Betsy Jolas. He then went on many artiste residencies, in particular at the Villa Medici (1992-1993), the Casa de Velázquez (1997-1998) and the Villa Kujoyama (2002). He was subsequently appointed director of the Saint-Cloud Conservatory.

After gaining a diploma in composition at the University of La Plata in Argentina, Mario Mary continued his training at the GRM, the Paris Conservatory and Ircam. He obtained a doctorate in the aesthetics, science and technology of the arts, at the University of Paris VIII, where he taught computer-assisted composition (1996-2010).
A teacher of electro-acoustic composition at the Académie de Musique Prince Rainier III in Monaco, co-founder and artistic director of Monaco/Electroacoustique (international electro-acoustic music meetings), this teacher-researcher also lectures in Europe and South America.

After studying at the Royal Manchester College of Music (1952-1956) and at Manchester University, Peter Maxwell Davies pursued his studies in Rome with Goffredo Petrassi, then at Princeton in the USA (1962-1964), notably with Milton Babitt.
