Philippe Forget studied the bassoon, singing and choral and orchestral conducting, notably with the conductor Wolfgang Harrer at the Austro-Hungarian Academy in Budapest.
The founder and conductor of the Orchestre Régional des Jeunes de Bourgogne, he has also conducted various orchestras, including the chorus and orchestra of Lyons Opera, the Orchestre National de Lorraine, the Orchestre Régional Bayonne-Côte Basque. Since 2014 he has been music director of the Chœur National des Jeunes. A champion of the French repertories of yesterday and today, he conducts notably the works of Berlioz, Debussy, Ravel, Milhaud, Jolivet, Jérôme Combier, Philippe Fénelon, Philippe Hersant and Guillaume Connesson.

Seeking European academic training, he studied in France at the Gennevilliers Conservatory, the Paris Regional Conservatory at the Pôle Supérieur of Paris Boulogne-Billancourt. He followed the teaching of Bernard Cavanna, Yan Maresz and also met Peter Eötvös, Pascal Dusapin, Matthias Pintscher, Philippe Hersant and Philippe Manoury, who encouraged him to consolidate his own musical language.

A pianist and choir singer, Sébastien Gaxie studied the jazz piano and directed the Zhig Band, a group that played his own music. He then entered the Paris Conservatory, where he followed notably the composition classes of Emmanuel Nunes and Frédéric Durieux. He completed his training with the computer music composition course of Ircam.
Gaxie works on rhythm, pulsation and the play of superimpositions. He devotes himself to different fields of expression: contemporary music, jazz, electronic music, music theatre and video art.
