Ivane Béatrice BELLOCQ

Ivane Bellocq studied the flute with Roger Bourdin, analysis with Max Deutsch and composition with Olivier Greif.
An international performer, she plays and records many works of both the past and the present, notably Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy, Olivier Greif, Sofia Goubaidoulina, Suzanne Giraud, Patrice Sciortino and Sophie Lacaze.
As a composer she has been invited to numerous residences in the Île de France, in Mayenne and with festivals or ensembles (the chamber choir Les Temperamens Variations, Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence, des Hautes-Vosges…).

Born into a highly musical family, Tona Scherchen, known as Ti-tigre, started her musical apprenticeship at a very early age. She pursued it for ten years in China, at the Peking and Shanghai conservatories, before becoming a pupil of Hans Werner Henze in Salzburg, of Olivier Messiaen in Paris and of György Ligeti in Vienna. Gaining, notably, a First Prize from the Paris Conservatory (1964) as well as a First Prize in the Composition Competition of the Gaudeamus Foundation (1967), she brings together the European avant-garde idioms of the 1960s and 1970s in a personal language.

From a very young age Joshua Fineberg studied the violin then the guitar, piano, harpsichord and conducting. He subsequently entered the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore in the class of Morris Moshe Cotel, where he obtained First Prize in the Virginia Carty de Lillo Composition Competition. In Paris he studied with Tristan Murail and followed the composition and computer music course at Ircam. After returning to the USA he completed a doctorate in music composition in 1999 at Columbia University, New York.

French composer and researcher born in 1965 in L'Haÿ-les-Roses.
Stéphane de Gérando studied at the Paris Conservatory, notably in the classes of Alain Bancquart (composition), Michel Philippot (analysis), Gérard Grisey (orchestration), and in the electro-acoustic classes of Guy Reibel and Laurent Cuniot. He then completed his apprenticeship with the composition and computer music course of Ircam. In 1996, at the University of Paris VIII, he presented a doctoral thesis on æsthetics, sciences and technology of the arts entitled Contingence et déterminisme procédural appliqués à la synthèse sonore informatique et à l’écriture musicale. It marked his interest for the notion of coherence in the language of contemporary music.

Laurent Lefrançois studied the double bass and the electric bass before entering a piano class at the École Nationale de Musique in Lisieux. In parallel to studying musicology he followed the analysis class of Anthony Girard at the Rouen Conservatory. He then studied harmony and counterpoint with Stéphane Delplace as well as orchestration and composition with Guillaume Connesson. He gained a composition diploma in the class of Michel Merlet at the École Normale de Musique in Paris.
