Luminescences. Antoine Tisné revealed

Cdmc
Wednesday 27 November 2013 - 09:30

Coordination Delphine Grivel, Christel Rayneau

Fifteen years after the composer's death, as a new recording of his works by the Hélios Ensemble is released, this day study session devoted to Antoine Tisné will shed light on the position of a forgotten composer in the contemporary musical landscape, despite his being surrounded by admiring performers and composers. This is borne out by the names of those who first performed his works, those who took part in his projects and in his life. Other approaches will highlight an output which for most remained unknown... Often compared with other leading composers of the twentieth century, Antoine Tisné will be revealed through these artistes and analysts, each with a particular speciality. Brought together for the first time, they will address the organiser's principal aim, that of transmitting to the musicians and musicologists of today and of tomorrow a rich musical patrimony, one that will be brought to life through manuscript scores and notes, archival materials and recollections.

Luminescences... An invitation to meet a man who forged his own language in the light of his travels throughout the world, travels within himself and within music.
