Édith Canat de Chizy, music and creative transversality
Cdmc
A consideration of the world of Édith Canat de Chizy on the occasion of the world premiere of Over the Sea, an Ircam commission for string trio, accordion and electronics.
This is also an opportunity to analyse the singular approach of a composer for whom music finds its origin in other artistic experiences than her own, and is enriched through the contributions of words and images, poetry, painting, architecture.
An invitation to reflect on the multiple intersections of this transversality between the arts, a question that preoccupies a good many composers of today or of the recent past.
