Competition open to team of a composer and librettist or individuals who embody both roles. None of the participants may have exceeded the age of 45 on the day of submission.
The objective of this competition is the creation of a stage work with singer(s) and orchestra (and, if required, electronics), based on a libretto written specifically for this work.
The work to be submitted is to be for an orchestra that does not exceed 17 instrumentalists plus a maximum of seven vocal soloists and without a choir.
The work should be of full length, between 60 and 90 minutes. The libretto can be written in German, English or French. Contestants are free to choose the content of the work, but in no case should it be an opera for children.
