The EMC is currently preparing the fifth issue of its magazine « Sounds in Europe ». The fifth issue will focus on « Music and Social Responsibility » which intends to reflect on the next European Year: the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
The next Sounds issue appeals to demonstrate the positive impact music can have on society and the social life of European citizens. Artistic participation and production is an important means to combat poverty and social exclusion.
Contributions might include presentations of grass root level initiatives in socially deprived areas, scientific articles on the influence of access to culture on social development or other texts relating to activities where you see the social responsibility of music.

There are three different possibilities:
. full-length article (4.000-5.000 characters)
. description of a model project of your organisation (2.000 characters max.)
. general information (dates and places) – for the category « pinboard »
