The Cdmc holds a unique collection representing all aesthetics within musical creation. This collection has grown thanks to the collaboration of composers, publishers and Radio France. With a consultation area open to the public, the centre also affords access to many online resources through the Catalogue and the Gateway to Contemporary Music. A beacon of the latest music news with its website, the Cdmc organises encounters with the movers and shakers of contemporary music.

Yvar Mikhashoff Pianist/Composer Commissioning Project
The Yvar Mikhashoff Trust for New Music is pleased to announce the guidelines for the eleventh annual international competition for pianist/composer collaborations. The goal of the competition is to encourage the composition and performance of new works for solo piano reflecting and continuing the legacy of the distinguished American pianist, Yvar Mikhashoff (1941-1993). The winning composer and pianist, who apply together as a team, will receive $4,000 (USD) each. The composer will write a new piece for piano solo, with or without electronics; this work will then be premiered by the pianist between January and September 2018. The competition is limited to applicants, both pianists and composers, born on or after January 1, 1983.
