The Cdmc holds a unique collection representing all aesthetics within musical creation. This collection has grown thanks to the collaboration of composers, publishers and Radio France. With a consultation area open to the public, the centre also affords access to many online resources through the Catalogue and the Gateway to Contemporary Music. A beacon of the latest music news with its website, the Cdmc organises encounters with the movers and shakers of contemporary music.

Composition competition Île de créations 2016
Composition competition organised by Orchestre national d’Île-de-France. Theme : to compose a Heroic Fantasy for orchestra. Diffusion Alla Breve on France Musique (Radio France).
Patron : Bruno Letort, composer and Director of Ars Musica Brussels contemporary music festival.
Competition opened to composers under 32 years old, enrolled in composition and/or orchestration training program in the European Union in between 2011 and 2016.
Applicants must write two movements, two minutes each, of a five movements Heroic Fantasy for orchestra.
